Take a peek behind the curtain and test drive the NEW StateNews.com today!

Freshmen fifteen Q's: 4/6/10

College is a whole new world for many freshmen traveling campus for the first time.
The State News sat down with one of these brave explorers to get a glimpse, in 15 questions or fewer, at a new face on campus and her perspective of her new frontier.

Meet Annalisa Palazzolo

1. What does the last text you sent say?
I have to go now because I’m getting a new phone.

2. What’s your least favorite song?
Anything Bruce Springsteen because my friend listens to it all the time and I can’t stand it.

3. What’s your biggest pet peeve?
When girls try to act stupid on purpose.

4. What’s the ringtone on your phone?
The “Harry Potter” theme song. Wow, I seem so cool right now.

5. Do you believe in alien life-forms?
Yes. I think we’re a tiny speck in the universe.

6. If you were the opposite sex for one day, what would you do?
Use as many cheesy pickup lines as possible and see if they worked.

7. Who’s one person you never want to meet?
I’d have to say Paris Hilton. She just seems like an idiot, like she would not be nice.

8. If you could be any animal, which one would you be?
I’d probably be a dolphin. They always seem really happy.

9. Where was your first kiss?
Laser tag. (I was) 13.

10. If you could have a tea party with three famous people, who would you invite?
Lead singer John O’Callaghan of The Maine, Sarah Palin and Marilyn Monroe. I don’t think they’d get along very well.

11. What’s one thing you could not live without?
Music.

12. If you had to live in another time, when would it be?
1960s. I like that whole hippie thing.

13. If you could choose, how would you die?
Half of me would want to die in my sleep and half of me would want to go out in a sweet way, but I don’t know what that’d be.

14. What’s your dream job?
A dermatologist.

15. Do you have any advice for next year’s incoming freshmen?
Don’t be scared when you don’t find your place right away. It takes at least a semester.
