MSU students could be among participants at the Our Higher Education Rally noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Capitol as part of a statewide effort organized by the Student Association of Michigan, or SAM. More than 500 students are expected to attend. SAM is a group for Michigan’s higher education students.
The event is meant to display students’ frustration in numerous cuts made to systems of higher education. Besides rallying on the steps of the Capitol Building, the group of students also will visit legislators who serve their district and speak to both Michigan’s House of Representatives and Senate.
