To celebrate the MSU School of Journalism’s 100-year anniversary, the school is featuring speakers Don Gonyea of National Public Radio and Kathy Barks Hoffman of The Associated Press in a lecture entitled New Technology and Political Coverage at 4:30 p.m. today.
To begin the celebration of 100 years of journalism at MSU with the school’s annual Frederick S. Siebert Lecture, both speakers will be in Room 147 of the Communication Arts and Sciences Building.
Gonyea works for NPR in the White House and has covered many major events, such as the 2000 presidential election controversy, the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and the 2004 presidential election campaign trail.
Hoffman has been the Lansing correspondent for The Associated Press since 1995 and primarily covers politics and the economy in Michigan.
Both speakers are MSU alumni.
The lecture will stream live on the Web at spartantv.cas.msu.edu and livestream.com/spartantv.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
