Minor damage was caused to two vehicles when they collided at about 8:54 p.m. Wednesday on Red Cedar Road, about 20 feet south of Wilson Road, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
Taylor said the first vehicle, a black 2000 Ford Explorer driven by a 21-year-old man from St. Charles, Ill., was forced to stop suddenly when a bicyclist crossed in front of it. The second vehicle, a 2007 Kia driven by a 34-year-old Lansing man, was unable to stop quickly enough and struck the back of the first vehicle.
There were no injuries, but both cars received minor damage and the driver of the Ford Explorer was held responsible. The bicyclist, whose identity is not known, was not on the scene when police arrived.
