Police searching for victims of larcenies
East Lansing police have recovered about $1,000 of property stolen in a string of campus and downtown East Lansing larcenies that occurred between Sept. 12 and Sept. 13, East Lansing police Detective Dan DeKorte said.
Police have identified two East Lansing residents with no university affiliation as responsible for the thefts. The two suspects, a 20-year-old man and his 17-year-old brother, could face up to five years in prison or a $10,000 fine, DeKorte said.
The stolen items, which were recovered by police and include construction items and electronics, are being held until victims come to claim them.
Victims of the larcenies who are missing property should contact DeKorte at (517) 319-6851.
