MSU employee injured by broken shovel
A 45-year-old male university employee was taken to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital on Tuesday after the shovel he was using to cut tree roots broke and struck him in the chest, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The incident occurred between 8:30 and 8:40 a.m. on the south side of parking ramp No. 3, near Wharton Center, she said. The employee complained of chest pains. His current condition is unknown.
