League honors several players

Six MSU women’s basketball players were honored by the Big Ten.

The group was led by junior center Allyssa DeHaan, who was named second team All-Big Ten.

It was the third time she has garnered all-conference honors. DeHaan, averaging 10.7 points per game along with 6.4 rebounds and three blocks, was named to the media’s first team last season. She was also named to the conference’s All-Defensive Team, the third straight year she has earned that honor.

Junior forward Aisha Jefferson, sophomore guard Brittney Thomas, sophomore Kalisha Keane and redshirt freshman forward Lykendra Johnson, were named honorable mention All-Big Ten.

Junior center Lauren Aitch earned the Spartans’ Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
