MSU police completed its investigation of the fatal vehicle crash involving kinesiology sophomore Josh Parks, ruling it an intentional crash, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The crash occurred at about 2:35 p.m. on March 18 on Bennett Road near the College Road intersection. Parks’ vehicle struck a large, solitary oak tree, McGlothian-Taylor said. Parks left behind a note, she said.
According to the report, Parks was traveling above the 55-mph speed limit when he struck the tree. Police could not provide an exact speed, but a witness said Parks’ vehicle was pulling away from their vehicle, which was traveling at 55 mph, McGlothian-Taylor said.
