The city of Lansing and Classic Computer Recovery, Inc., have will provide free computer and TV equipment recycling to prepare for the digital transition scheduled to take place on June 12, according to a city of Lansing press release.

The transition to digital TV was originally scheduled for Feb. 17, but has been pushed back.

Saturday’s event is the second time residents will have the opportunity to drop off old TVs and computer equipment.

The event will last from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TVs of all sizes, PCs, desktops, towers, servers, notebook computers, computer monitors, printers, computer parts, scanners and cell phones will be accepted.

During the first event, Jan. 10, officials collected more than 75,000 pounds of gear, enough to stuff three semi-trucks.
