Evening College begins spring classes

February 16, 2009

The MSU Alumni Lifelong Education Evening College began its spring semester this week and will offer new courses every week throughout the semester.

The college — a 58-year-old program of the Alumni Lifelong Education division of the MSU Alumni Association — offers unique non credit courses for all adults. Courses range from how nanotechnology will change lives to creative writing.

The program is for all adults, including students, faculty, community members and alumni, Evening College director Louise Cooley said.

The program has registered more than 1,000 people for this semester.

Cooley said classes are offered at prices to fit everyone’s budget.

“There are classes for as low as $25 and a class for wine-tasting goes for $145,” she said. “We do offer course discounts for members of the Alumni Association.”
