Inauguration on campus

January 20, 2009

For those of you stuck in East Lansing for President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, don’t fret. There are still a number of ways to celebrate the event here at MSU.

The MSU Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives will host a presidential inauguration ceremony in the Union Ballroom from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event is open to the MSU community.

The MSU Democrats will watch the inauguration at the Holden Hall lobby from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Communication Arts and Sciences Building will broadcast the inauguration ceremonies in rooms throughout the building Tuesday.

Staying in to take in the celebrations? Inauguration festivities begin at 10 a.m. and will be televised by most major TV stations. CNN begins its live coverage at 5 a.m., while C-SPAN and Fox News start their coverage at 6 a.m.
