MSU student pays for car online, never gets money
A 20-year-old female student is missing $3,900 after purchasing a car on the Internet on Nov. 25 and never receiving the car as promised by the seller, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student reached the seller through the Web site Craigslist.org and was supposed to be contacted within 24 hours of the purchase, McGlothian-Taylor said. The seller was supposed to deliver the car to East Lansing, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The case is still under investigation.
