The indoor track and field season kicks off Friday when the Spartans host the MSU Invitational at Jenison Field House.
Among the teams in attendance will be in-state foes Central Michigan and Grand Valley State. The women’s team is looking to build on a strong last season, where it finished 25th at the NCAA National Championships in March.
