CATA announces holiday route changes

November 25, 2008

Students who plan to take the bus on campus Thanksgiving Day will have to find other transportation.

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will conclude services at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. CATA administration offices also will be closed for the holiday. Routes resuming on Friday vary.

The Night Owl will resume running on the MSU campus from 2-9 a.m. Friday. The 34, 35, 36 and Lot Link routes will follow the usual weekend timetables, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. Routes 30-33 won’t operate Friday on campus.

The 26 Abbot/Chandler route will run every 40 minutes instead of every 13 minutes. Service will end at 11:15 p.m. after the last bus leaves the MSU CATA station at 10:40 p.m.

The route 26 Friday Late Night service to downtown East Lansing won’t operate. The regular route 26 service will resume Saturday.

Other routes will operate based on regular Friday schedules. For more information, call CATA Customer Service at (517) 394-1000 on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
