A 32-year-old student discovered his Dell laptop was missing after an unusually long wait for its return in the mail, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student mailed the laptop to Dell for maintenance work Oct. 7, and when it was not returned by Oct. 13, he checked in with South Case Hall’s front desk.
There was no package, but there was a receipt saying the laptop was received, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The value of the loss is estimated at $1,000. There are no suspects, and the incident is still under investigation.
