Before coming to MSU, international relations and theater junior Marla Kalmbach had never ballroom danced before.
“I had been dancing since I was a kid … but I wanted to keep dancing in college,” Kalmbach said. “I had always been interested in ballroom dancing.”
Kalmbach is the vice president of public relations for the MSU Ballroom Dance Club, which meets weekly and provides professional ballroom dance lessons for beginners and veterans alike.
“The dancing and the experience … for me, it’s a form of personal expression,” she said. “It’s a really fun way to meet people, exercise and just relax and enjoy life.”
