Rental car damaged in local hotel parking lot
A rental car parked at Candlewood Suites on Forest Road was damaged Sunday between 3:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., MSU police Lt. Jennifer Brown said.

The car, which was parked in the parking lot, was rented by a 24-year-old male with no university affiliation, Brown said.
When he returned to the car, the keyhole of the front driver’s side door was damaged. It appeared as though the suspect was attempting to punch the lock in to break into the car, Brown said.
The car was not entered and nothing was missing from inside the vehicle. The suspect is unknown.
