The State News: How would you describe your style?
Gan Yang: I choose different styles. Sometimes I like the skateboard look and sometimes I like more mature styles.
SN: What influences you?
GY: I talk to my friend and we discuss the styles. Sometimes I watch commercials or maybe TV shows and I try the styles.
SN: How has your culture influenced the way you dress?
GY: About 20 years ago, everyone wore the same clothes and had the same style. But right now, China is open so the styles are international. Everyone just chooses their own style.
SN: Do you admire anyone’s fashion sense?
GY: I never follow the movie stars. If I think that some part of (a movie star’s) style is good, I copy that part but I don’t totally follow (their) style.
