West Akers students lose several electronic items

A Hewlett-Packard laptop computer, several video gaming systems, an MP3 player, DVDs, video games and other items totaling more than $3,600 were stolen from a West Akers Hall dorm room sometime between 3 and 4:50 a.m. Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Two 18-year-old male students and their two 19-year-old male roommates reported the theft after one of the 18-year-old students woke up at 4:50 a.m. and noticed several items missing from the room, McGlothian-Taylor said. None of the victims heard or saw anyone in the room, and there were no signs of forced entry, McGlothian-Taylor said. The case is under investigation, and police have no suspects.
