MSU senior tight end Kellen Davis has been selected to play in the 2008 Under Armour Senior Bowl, a pre-draft game that features the country’s top NFL draft prospects. Davis is one of the top 100 college seniors chosen as NFL draft prospects.
Davis traveled to Mobile, Ala. last weekend before attending his first practice with his team Monday afternoon.
The Senior Bowl will kick off at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., and will air on NFL Network. Pregame coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Davis, who also played as defensive end, had 32 receptions for 513 yards and six touchdowns in 2007.
Last year, the Senior Bowl produced 12 first round NFL draft picks, with 90 selections overall. More than 800 NFL coaches, scouts and training staff members are expected to attend this year’s Senior Bowl to judge players’ talent before the draft.
