Coach Rodman?
As if the state of basketball wasn’t in enough disarray in Atlanta with the Hawks, the city’s fledgling WNBA franchise is already screwing up.
Coach Rodman?
As if the state of basketball wasn’t in enough disarray in Atlanta with the Hawks, the city’s fledgling WNBA franchise is already screwing up.
Former NBA superstar/sideshow Dennis Rodman expressed interest in coaching the unnamed Atlanta team but was denied by the expansion team’s owner, Ron Terwilliger.
Now, hilarity of the image of Rodman gracing the court in multicolored hair, piercings the size of hula hoops and decked out in the latest ladies’ fashions aside, imagine the ticket sales Rodman would have produced. Rodman was one of the best defensive players and rebounders in the last 30 years. People would love to see Rodman dressed in his suit (or maybe topless with a giant boa constrictor wrapped around his tattooed body) on the bench, arguing with refs and making a complete fool of himself. People would read stories about the Atlanta team just to see how many different ways Rodman could forcibly insert his foot into his mouth.
But people would watch.
That’s an improvement for the WNBA.
