Suspect reports getting spit on, equipment stolen

A female student reported a passenger on a Shaggin’ Wagon taxi spit on her following a verbal confrontation early Saturday morning, MSU police Sgt. Jill Geile said. The 18-year-old victim said an unknown male suspect spit on her as she exited the vehicle at 1:45 a.m. Saturday near East Holden Hall, Geile said. MSU police were not able to make contact with the suspect, Geile said. The incident is under investigation.

A bag containing hunting equipment valued at $800 was stolen from a 20-year-old student’s car parked in Lot 91, at the corner of Hagadorn and Service roads, after a rear window was smashed, Geile said. The male student’s 2000 Ford Ranger was parked in the lot south of Fee Hall when an unknown suspect broke into the car sometime between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Geile said. There are no suspects in the theft. The incident is under investigation.
