SN loses integrity with story regarding restaurant closing

In regards to your piece about the closing of Burger Down, Owner places blame on tree, press as burger goes down (SN 11/1) that is one of the most infuriating articles I have ever read. I was warned not to read the article because of the fact that I loved my job and was tight with everyone I worked with, including Britt Slocum. The negative slant that was given to my boss, and good, good friend, was downright insidious. As one of the former managers of Burger Down, I busted my hump to make sure that everyone had an awesome meal and an awesome experience. To drag someone’s reputation down, someone whose had family ties to this university and the city of East Lansing for longer than most students have even been alive, is just sad. Then, to top it all off, you try to imply that the Health Department had something to do with the closure! Absolutely preposterous. I’m disappointed in you. State News, you are a lot classier than this.
