It is absolutely ridiculous to tell us that our cheers are causing parents to not bring their children to the games. Let’s talk about all the tailgating that goes on beforehand. Parents bring their children to those gatherings, where more swear words are said in one minute than in one single cheer of ours. Parents get drunk and let their children do whatever they want. They let them throw beer bottles into the Red Cedar River, run around aimlessly and even have them hold their parents’ beers because they are either too drunk to hold it themselves or are busy playing catch with their friends. We pay plenty of money to sit in those seats and if we want to do those cheers, it’s our decision. Every week our stadium is still packed. It doesn’t seem to me like we are having any problems with people not wanting to come back. We say the same words that you know people are saying at home, before the game and probably even during the game right along with us.
