Friday

Howl-o-ween Let your furry best friend get in on the Halloween fun and take your dog trick-or-treating at 5 p.m. in Old Town Lansing. A pet costume contest with Tim Barron from Mike 101.7 FM is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m in the Sir Pizza parking lot, 201 E. Rocky Horror Picture Show The Rocky Horror Picture Show will have two viewings at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at the International Center. Props will be provided, as well as a show guide for first-time viewers. There also will be prizes awarded for the best costumes.

Saturday

Ghost hunter Chris Moon, the senior editor of Haunted Times Magazine, will share his ghost hunting finesse from 8-10 p.m. Saturday at the International Center. The first 50 students to arrive will be taken on a real ghost hunt at 10:30 p.m. throughout MSU’s campus. Visit www.uabevents.com for more information.

Boo at the Zoo Potter Park Zoo hosts its annual Boo at the Zoo event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Hay rides, popcorn, cider and face painting will be available at the event.

Spiral Halloween Ball A Halloween Ball full of masks and disguises will take place at 9 p.m. Saturday at Spiral Video Dance Bar, 1247 Center St., in Lansing. Call (517) 371-3221 or visit www.spiraldancebar.com for more information.

Oct. 31 (Halloween!)

Costumes and music Melt Banana will perform with guests Funender and The Cartridge Family at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mac’s Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing. It’s a Halloween bash, so wear a costume for the costume contest. Cover is $10. Call (517) 484-6795 for more information.
