Art museum vandalized

A ceramic container valued at $2,500 was smashed, and a CD player valued at $80 was burned Monday at The Art Museum at MSU (formally the Kresge Art Museum) between midnight and 10:30 a.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 47-year-old employee reported the vandalism. The incident is still under investigation.

Harrasing phone calls made to male student

An 18-year-old East Wilson Hall resident received harassing phone calls Tuesday after midnight, McGlothian-Taylor said. He said he received 20-25 phone calls in 40 minutes to his room’s telephone from an unknown male suspect, she said. The phone calls had sexual references and stopped once the student said he was contacting the police, McGlothian-Taylor said. The incident is still under investigation.
