Jesus is more credible than State News religion columnist

Either Jesus is coming or he is not.

The odds are 50/50.

If he is not coming, then St. Paul, (a bona fide ex-persecutor of Christians), tells us, “Our faith is in vain.” But if he is coming then it behooves every one of us to be ready for his arrival. Jesus made it clear what believers and nonbelievers should expect at his second coming.

Finally, whose credibility should be trusted in these matters? That of John Bice, a man who last year claimed retirement from the opinion page, (yet returned)? Or that of Jesus, a man who chose to be crucified for the sake of those he loves, a man who left no doubt about his impending return, a man whose other claims include nothing less than being the Son of God and creator of the universe?

I am not a gambling man, but I choose the Lord.
