Highway construction closes US-23 lanes

May 29, 2007

Construction will begin at 8 p.m. March 29 on Interstate 96 between M-52 and M-59. The construction will take place at night Sunday-Thursday throughout June.

There also will be a single lane closure starting at 8 p.m. along eastbound I-96 from June 1 until noon on June 3. This is expected to be the last weekend for lane closures on I-96.

Southbound U.S. Highway 23 between Silver Lake and Barker roads will be down to one lane beginning May 29. The closure is needed to repair a bridge and road in the area. The ramp for westbound M-36 to southbound U.S.-23 also will be closed.
