A 20-year-old male student reported his coat and wallet missing from an IM Sports-West locker between 8:30-9:20 a.m. Wednesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student believed he had locked the locker, which held his $200 coat and $50 wallet, with one of the combination locks that can be checked out from the building. When he saw that the lock was still on the locker, but not locked and showed no signs of damage, he said he might not have secured it correctly, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects.A 38-year-old female university administrator reported her purse missing from a Berkey Hall office area between 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The $20 handbag contained a $50 leather datebook and a $50 Coach brand wallet and change purse. The purse was left on a chair when the employee went to a meeting, in an area open to the public with the door left open. There are no suspects.A 42-year-old male university employee reported $2,864.33 worth of computer equipment missing from Erickson Hall between noon Monday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. There were no signs of forced entry into the locked room that held the supplies. Missing equipment included a $2388.12 Toshiba laptop computer, a $276.21 Dell monitor and four used Toshiba laptops, valued at $50 each. The incident is still under investigation.Laura Misjak
