Three fire extinguishers were sprayed and a Club Car golf cart was found tipped over and cracked inside Spartan Stadium sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The damage, which was estimated to be about $200, was found by a male university employee who was working to clean and winterize the stadium, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Although there are no witnesses or suspects, the employee who reported the incident said he saw two college-aged men in the stadium halls around the time it happened who said they were concession cart employees, McGlothian-Taylor said. The extinguishers were found discharged in their respective areas: the center lobby area, west ground floor concession side and near the ticket offices. McGlothian-Taylor said the golf cart was found on its side with a crack and scratches on its left side bumper.A "No Parking" bag covering a parking meter near Munn Ice Arena was set on fire Friday morning. A passer-by alerted police at about 12:30 a.m. that the bag was ablaze on Birch Road, McGlothian-Taylor said. When MSU police arrived, the fire had already stopped. The East Lansing Fire Department responded, as well, to verify it was exhausted. The damage to the bag and meter is estimated to be $600.Maggie Lillis
