The Spartan football team will be hosting two free events Aug. 12. Both events are open to the public.

From 10-11:30 a.m. on the Duffy Daugherty Football Building practice fields, MSU's coaching staff and players will conduct a clinic for children between the ages 8 and 12. Participants and parents must enter through the Shaw Lane gate, and no football gear is required. Directly following the clinic, MSU football head coach John L. Smith and players will sign autographs until 12:30 p.m.

In Okemos, the fourth annual "Meet The Spartans" will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Meridian Mall, 1982 W. Grand River Ave. Children under 12 are invited to receive autographs and take photos with members of the 2006 football team. Free schedule posters will be handed out by the MSU dance team and cheerleaders.
