Police briefs 07/28/06

A 37-year-old female MSU employee reported a 21-year-old male MSU student using an altered parking permit at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in west Lot 63 near the Breslin Student Events Center. The student attempted to park in a lot that was reserved for an event and gave the employee a permit that didn't match the car, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. "The permit was altered so it wouldn't expire until August 2006," she said. The student was interviewed Feb. 1 for a related incident involving parking permits and was told at the time to hand over all the parking permits he altered, McGlothian-Taylor said. He relinquished two permits and said he didn't have any more, she said.Lindsey Poisson
