MSU employee Ashley Jean Beliew, 17, pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of domestic violence and attempted telephone tapping/cutting lines.Beliew was arrested Thursday for assaulting a relative and was escorted to the Ingham County Jail."One individual assaulted the second in a vehicle while she was driving, and this occurred from a disagreement between the two," MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.McGlothian-Taylor said Beliew knocked a cell phone away from the victim when she attempted to call 911.Beliew and the 16-year-old victim refused medical treatment from paramedics.Beliew's pre-trial, a meeting between the prosecution and defense to determine if a settlement can be reached, is scheduled for Wednesday, and jury selection is scheduled for July 18. Her cash surety bond is set at $1,000.Lindsey Poisson
