A 19-year-old male student reported his Samsung flip cell phone stolen from his friend's vehicle between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. Monday in Lot 91 on campus. "He left the cell phone in the unlocked vehicle," MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The cell phone is worth about $80.A 25-year-old female MSU employee reported her left front tire slashed between 11:30 a.m. and noon Tuesday in Lot 41 across from Abrams Planetarium. The tire on her 2007 Dodge Dakota had a 1-1/2 inch cut in the exterior wall from an unknown instrument, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 20-year-old male student reported his blue and silver LG Electronics cell phone stolen between 2:50 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday at the Main Library. "The cell phone was taken while he used the restroom," McGlothian-Taylor said.Lindsey Poisson
