The company he worked for dismissed an employee when the supervisor was not present, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The dismissed employee's husband later called the supervisor and threatened physical violence. "The complainant informed the caller that he wasn't there when the person was dismissed," McGlothian-Taylor said. The matter is still under investigation.A 51-year-old female West Fee Hall employee reported a suspicious package in the lobby at noon on Tuesday. MSU police Sgt. Randy Holton said the item was a carrying case inside a plastic bag. A canine unit inspected the briefcase, and an X-ray machine was used to determine what was inside the package. "We determined it was an old manual typewriter, possibly being thrown out," Holton said.Lindsey Poisson
