A 43-year-old guitar player from Waterford, Mich. fell into the orchestra pit at Wharton Center on Sunday between 8:38 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. after a show. "He was in the pit after the show packing up his guitar and stepped back on what he thought was the floor and fell in the outer elevator pit," MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The musician fell about six feet and suffered from lower back pain, lacerations on both his legs and scrapes on both his elbows, she said. East Lansing medics responded and rushed him to Lansing's Sparrow Hospital.A 58-year-old MSU Arts & Crafts Show vendor reported a fraudulent credit card used at her booth at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. "Someone used a fraudulent credit card at her site to purchase clothes," McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspect was described as a white, largely built woman in her 50s weighing about 180 pounds, about 5-feet tall with pink hair. Total loss to the vendor was $47.70.Another 58-year-old crafts show vendor from Clinton, Mich. reported a fraudulent credit card used at her booth between 11:30 a.m. and noon on Sunday. "The male (suspect) apparently purchased $255.35 worth of stuffed animals," McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspect was reported to be a black male in his 40s.Lindsey Poisson
