Hey, Mike Ramsey: You are entitled to your own opinion on the war in Iraq.

If you don't support it, fine. If you want to draw cartoons criticizing it, that's fine also.

But you might want to read up on an article that made the front page of The State News, titled "U.S., Iraq launch sweeping offensive," (SN 3/17) an event that you mocked in your cartoon for the same day.

Let me quote the article that you obviously failed to read: "There was no bombing or firing from the air in the offensive northeast of Samarra, a town 60 miles north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. All 50 aircraft were helicopters — Black Hawks, Apaches and Chinooks…"

You, however, drew fighter jets dropping bombs on a city with text asking, "Do they love us yet?" Look man, just get your facts straight before you draw that stuff. It's simple things like your cartoon that promote the spin facts coming from Iraq.
