FILM

Friday: "Eight Below," "Freedomland" and "Date Movie" are opening in theaters everywhere.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday: At Wells Hall on campus the Residence Halls Association is playing "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till," "Rumor Has It …" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." The East Lansing Film Society is screening "A League of Ordinary Gentlemen" at Wells too.

Monday: An advanced screening of "Running Scared" will play at 8 p.m. in Wells Hall. The event is free, but students must pick up passes in 322 Union.


MISCELLANEOUS

Friday: Two Monty Python films will be shown during Renaissance "Knight" from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the International Center. The free event will include popcorn, beverages and coconut cups for the first 300 people. There will be games, jousting, a decorate-a-crown craft and Monty Python CDs for best costumes. At 9 p.m., "Monty Python's Life of Brian" will be shown, followed by "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" at 11 p.m.

Saturday: Game Night, including a Sudoku tournament, will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Register for the tournament in room 322 of the Union. Other board games and Dance, Dance Revolution will also be available. A free $5 food voucher will go to the first 200 people.

Wednesday: There will be a free flower pot painting craft night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Union food court. Participants will receive a free plant and pot.


MUSIC

Tonight: Sex and Patriotism, The High Strung and Relapse will perform in Lansing at Mac's Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave. Doors are at 9 p.m. and the show is 18 and over. Tickets are $5 for 21 and over, $8 for 18-20. For more information go to www.macsbar.com.

The Capes, The Ruiners, Dead Stream Corners, Ellsworth and Sedated Monkey will be performing in Lansing at The Temple Club, 500 E. Grand River Ave. Doors are at 8 p.m. For more information go to www.templeclub.com.

Friday: OAR will be performing at the Breslin Center. The show starts at 8 p.m. and students receive a $5 discount for buying their tickets from the Breslin Center box office.

ARTS

Tonight: The MSU Repertory Dance concert takes the stage at Fairchild Theatre until Feb. 19. Tonight, the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. The concert will start at 8 p.m Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The mainly modern dance concert will feature all MSU students and is choreographed by guest and local choreographers. Tickets are $10. For more information, call (517) 355-0329.

Saturday: "Love Letters," a romantic staged reading by actor Anthony (Phil) Heald who has been in "Silence of the Lambs" and "Boston Public" comes to BoarsHead Theater, 425 S. Grand Ave., Lansing at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 each. For more information, call (517) 484-7805.
