Take a peek behind the curtain and test drive the NEW StateNews.com today!

Editor's note

Got something to say? We want to hear from you

The life of a sports fan is tough. Our emotions are constantly fluctuating depending on the success, or lack thereof, of "our teams" — the four or five teams we've grown up following and we'd live and die by. Our team wins and life is good. They lose, we feel the heartache with the players. We can even recall obscure facts, spend hours devoted to various fantasy leagues and can recite the height, weight, hometown and last year's numbers for each player on our team.

And we like to talk. Oh, we like to talk. And argue. And debate for hours upon hours on any topic, any day.

The State News is giving you the chance to let your voice heard. We want to hear your opinion on anything MSU sports related. Have an issue? Let us know. Think a player should step up his or her play? Tell us. How'd you feel after a game? We want to know.

Every Monday in this space, we will publish a sampling of your thoughts. Send e-mails to sports@statenews.com throughout the week, but make them brief and concise — in 100 words or less. Remember to include your name, major (or hometown) and a number where we can reach you so we can verify information. Your phone number will not be published.

While you're at it, let us know what you think about our sports coverage. What you like, what you don't like and what you'd like to see more.

We know you've got opinions.

We're ready to listen.
