As an MSU graduate with a minor in English and history, I have come to critically respect much of the content in The State News during the years I have attended MSU and since my graduation.

However, I do not support its inclusion of outside advertising without standards.

I expect The State News to include advertising that directly connects with the nightlife of students, student living, employment and general student needs. However, I do not find an advertisement for "Hot Live Text Chat" to be appropriate.

It is the kind of material I would expect to find in a very cheap publication or a men's magazine.

Please refrain from using distasteful advertising without a purpose in the future.
