• The Sacramento Kings are in a bit of hot water after last week's game against the Detroit Pistons, in which they showed images of abandoned buildings, burned-out cars and trashy streets on their overhead screens during Detroit's pregame introductions.

• If the Pistons are looking for a little revenge, here's a suggestion. The next time the Kings are in town, put a giant number zero on the big screen — for the number of playoff series Sacramento won last season.

• Two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders were arrested at a Tampa, Fla., nightclub last week after allegedly having sex with each other in a bathroom stall.

• The MSU men's and women's basketball teams both turned in disappointing efforts in their final preseason games over the weekend.
