After wrapping up its Big Ten season at home by defeating No. 8 Ohio State, the No. 15 MSU field hockey team will look to defeat the Buckeyes again, this time in the first round of the Big Ten tournament at 3 p.m. Friday in Iowa.
MSU lost four straight conference games before earning victories over Northwestern and Ohio State to finish the season.
Looking to Friday, head coach Michele Madison said the Spartans (12-7 overall, 2-4 Big Ten) are more confident facing Ohio State the second time around.
"We just played them so we know how they play and know what they are capable of," Madison said. "They dominated us in statistics so we have to try to change that around."
