The MSU School of Music is trying to help in the aftermath of the recent hurricane devastation.
On Sunday, jazz professors, MSU School of Music faculty and a variety of guest performers will pay tribute to the distinct New Orleans-style of jazz music with "Tribute to New Orleans," a concert benefiting the New Orleans music scene and victims of the hurricanes.
The concert is at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Cobb Great Hall, Wharton Center. The concert is free, but donations will go to the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund and the American Red Cross.
Three New Orleans artists, as well as Haijing Fu, a baritone player from the Metropolitan Opera, will be performing in the concert.
