An 18-year-old female student reported being harassed by a 20-year-old female because of her snoring, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.Objects, including pens and books, were reportedly thrown at her while she slept, beginning in November 2004 and continuing through Feb. 20.Officers contacted the 20-year-old who admitted placing a coat over the 18-year-old's face to drown out the sound of her snoring, but denied throwing anything, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case is being referred to the Ingham County Prosecutor's office.• A 36-year-old university employee reported four laptops stolen from the Psychology Research building between 4:30 p.m. Feb. 15 and 8:45 a.m. Feb. 16, McGlothian-Taylor said.One laptop, a $1,800 Dell Latitude X300, and three $1,200 Dell Latitude M600 laptops were taken from a locked basement room, she said. Other desktop computers and hardware in the room were not taken.There were no signs of forced entry, she said.The case still is under investigation.Lauren Phillips
