Two male students were arrested in South Hubbard Hall for possession of marijuana and fireworks at 9:35 p.m. Friday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.Officers were sent to the dorm room after being notified that the smell of marijuana was coming from it, she said. Once there, they contacted the resident and his visitor, who admitted to smoking marijuana before officers arrived, McGlothian-Taylor said.Several fireworks also were found on location, she said.The two students - a 19-year-old resident of the room and an 18-year-old Holden Hall resident - were arrested, processed at the department and released, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case will be referred to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office, she said. A 38-year-old male student reported footprints outside his and a neighbor's Spartan Village residence windows between 10 p.m. Jan. 24 and 4 p.m. Thursday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student told police he did not see or hear anyone outside his window.There are no suspects and the case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
