Four new senior associate athletics directors were promoted by MSU Athletics Director Ron Mason on Monday - Shelley Appelbaum, Mark Hollis, Greg Ianni and Chris Ritrievi.

Karen Langeland, John Lewandowski and Jennifer Smith also were promoted to associate athletics directors, along with Rick Atkinson and Chuck Sleeper who were named assistant athletics directors.

Appelbaum has served as the senior women's administrator and oversees human resources, she also has supervisory responsibilities in many sports.

Hollis, an MSU graduate, oversees all external relations for the MSU athletics department, which includes coordinating marketing, promotions and community relations and also supervising the men's basketball program.

Focusing on the long-range plans for improvements on athletic sites, Ianni oversees MSU's athletic facilities.

Ritrievi is in charge of all fund-raising efforts for the athletics department.

The athletics department also announced limited access to the April 22 spring football scrimmage because of the construction of Spartan Stadium.
