Oh come on, Patrick Walters, do you really expect people to believe that your column, "Practice of pardoning White House's Thanksgiving turkey must end" (SN 11/19), is actually intended to convey that message?

It's just another opportunity for you to express your disapproval of President Bush's re-election. I realize that the majority of the columnists are so blinded by their hate for him that they cannot seem to find anything new to write about. Get over it and find some new material because this reader is getting fed up with the same material over and over again.

What would you be writing about if Bill Clinton was in office? I doubt I would see a column like this during his presidency.
