A 20-year-old female student was arrested in the Hubbard Hall cafeteria Monday evening for failing to obey a university employee and for violating cafeteria rules, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A 27-year-old university employee told police the student let another person into the cafeteria by opening one of the exit doors.Exit doors are not considered a legitimate entrance to campus cafeterias during meals, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student then refused to give her ID card, McGlothian-Taylor said. A report was filed, and the incident was passed on to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.The employee told police it's a frequent practice for students to open exit doors in the Hubbard Hall cafeteria, allowing people to get a free meal, McGlothian-Taylor said.Incidentally, Monday's Hubbard Hall dinner menu included Santa Fe chicken, onion rings and fruit scones with berry sauce.
