An unidentified male vandalized a bike in the Abbot Hall courtyard Friday evening, drawing the attention of several residents, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A 20-year-old female student told police she heard the man dropping a bike. The female student told police the male dropped the bike several times on the ground, then jumped on the front tire.He then attempted to hang the $150 Roadmaster bike on the light fixture of the southwest hall entrance, but after failing, he threw the bike from the top of the staircase, McGlothian-Taylor said. Damage was done to both wheels, the pedals and the handlebar.Police are investigating, McGlothian-Taylor said.• A $300 Dell monitor was stolen from Psychology Building, a 36-year-old university employee told police. The employee brought the monitor to a computer lab at noon Sept. 30 and reported it missing at 9 a.m. Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The area was left unlocked for public use by students.
