An unknown suspect broke into a car parked on East Circle Drive near Student Services with intent to steal it between 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday, MSU police Lt. Scott Beckner said.Police said they don't know how the 2000 Dodge Intrepid was entered, because it had no exterior damage. A rock was used to break the ignition and two pairs of sunglasses worth $210 were stolen, Beckner said. A glass jar with $10 in coins and $5 currency was also missing. Police responded to a harassment complaint between a student and a cafeteria manager Saturday in Yakeley Hall, Beckner said. The verbal dispute reportedly concerned the student's meal card not working for a week. No report was filed.Shannon Houghton
